What we need: medium sized bowl, an electrical beater, an oven, ice cream scoop and a baking tray

  • All-purpose flour 1 cup (120g)
  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp (3g)
  • salt 1/2 tsp (5g)
  • Unsalted butter room temperature (113g)
  • Granulated sugar 1/3 cup (65g)
  • Brown sugar 2/3 cup (140g)
  • Pure vanilla extract 2 tsp (10mL)
  • Egg 1
  • Rolled oats 1 and 1/2 cup (135g)
  • Semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup (150g).

Method:

Take a medium sized bowl and add all-purpose flour and baking soda.

whisk it properly and set aside.

Using another bowl to beat granulated sugar and brown sugar with butter until light and fluffy.

Now slowing down the speed of beater.

Furthermore, gradually add salt, vanilla and eggs.

Beat until well mixed like about a minute.

Moreover, add the flour mixture to the beaten batter till almost combine.

When done, stir in the oats and chocolate chips.

Afterwards chill the dough for one hour to overnight.

In addition, preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Further on, use a small ice cream scoop in order to drop heaping tablespoon-size balls of dough of about 2 inches apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.

Eventually, bake the cookies until they are golden around the edges.

But still soft in the center and take around 8 to 10 minutes.

Then remove from oven.

At this stage, let it cool on baking sheet 1 to 2 minutes.
