Fish Biryani Recipe

What we need:


For Fish:
  • 1kg white fish fillets.
  • lemon juice 3 tsp.
  • Cumin Powder 1 tsp.
  • Coriander Powder 1 tsp.
  • Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp.
  • Turmeric Powder 1 tsp.
  • Salt.
  • Cooking oil 1/4 cup.
  • Dill leaves 1/2 cup (Chopped)
  • Cilantro 1/2 cup
  • Green Chili 1
  • Curry leaves 4-6 (optional)
For Curry:
  • Onions 3 (thinly sliced).
  • Cooking oil 1/2 cup.
  • Ginger Garlic paste 1 tsp.
  • Tomatoes 4 (crushed).
  • Yoghurt 1 cup.
  • Cumin Powder 1 tsp.
  • Coriander Powder 1 tsp.
  • Red chili Powder 1 tsp.
  • Turmeric Powder 1 tsp.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Lemon Juice 2 tbsp.

Detailed Process:


Rice Preparation:

Take 3.5 Basmati Rice in a bowl and make sure they are washed.

Then boil in about 6 cups of water until it’s 70% cooked and the rice
grain has a bite to it.

when done with it take it out with the help of strainer and put cold water in it in order to keep them separated.

And set it aside.

Fish Marination:

Place the fish fillets in a container.

Ensure that fish is of (Tilapia, Cod, Basa, Founder etc) category.

Now add spices one by one.

Firstly, add lemon juice and rotate it so that fish get it all over.

Right after, add cumin , coriander , red chili , turmeric powder and salt (at to taste)

Mix it well and let it marinated for half hour.

Once it complete marinated time, then shallow fry until golden and crisp.

Curry Preparation:

In order to make curry, take a pan pour oil in it.

Furthermore, fry thinly thinly sliced onions until golden brown.

After that adding ginger garlic paste 1 tsp, (turmeric, coriander, cumin, red chili) each of these powders 1 tsp

In addition, add 4 crushed tomatoes and fry until well cooked.

Add yoghurt 1 cup and cook further till oil seperated.

Here adding up green chilies and chopped dill and cilantro leaves, and few curry leaves (optional).

When Everything is mixed well, afterwards append fried fish fillets into it.

squeeze some lemon juice onto it and turn off the heat.

Assemble curry and Rice:

With the tenderness of 70% boiled rice.

initially layer 1 boiled rice.

secondly layer 2 fish curry.

eventually, final layer boiled rice.

Sprinkle food colors on top of it.

Add a dash of water.

Cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes so all the flavors infuses.
